Ninth Annual Clambake A Boost For VNS

BRIDGEPORT—One hundred agency staff and supporters took part in Visiting Nurse Services (VNS) of Connecticut’s Ninth Annual Clambake fundraiser at Fairfield’s Brooklawn Country Club June 9, raising more than $33,000 to support VNS’ Medically Underserved and Hospice at Home™ programs.   The event was supported by 20 sponsors, including Presenting level support provided by UBS jointly with its business partners Columbia Management, Ivy Funds, and MFS Investment Management.  Chairs of the Clambake event were Nancy Hayes of Southport, Karen Mercer of Trumbull and Patty Merola of Milford.  Guests at the clambake enjoyed an open bar followed by lobster, prime rib of beef or salmon dinners and a short program recognizing special guests and sponsors.
